The Catalina Foothills home in Tucson, Arizona, is the house where “Today” anchor Savannah Guthrie spent her childhood. It is also the last place her 84-year-old mother, Nancy, was seen before she was taken, and the details of the property itself tell a story that is hard to ignore.
Savannah was born in Melbourne, Australia, in 1971. When her family relocated to the United States in 1975, they settled in Tucson. The one-story home became the center of family life — a place filled with routines, faith, and memories that shaped her upbringing.
Originally built in 1969, the home sits on a full acre of land in the Catalina Foothills neighborhood. It measures 3,776 square feet, with five bedrooms and 4.5 bathrooms. The Guthrie family purchased it for $85,000, and today its estimated value is close to $1.1 million, reflecting both its size and location.
Nancy Guthrie lived in the home for nearly 50 years. Although she listed it for sale in 2007, she later removed it from the market and continued living there. The house remained a constant through decades of family milestones, loss, and change.
Savannah’s father died suddenly of a heart attack in 1988, leaving Nancy to support the family. The home became a symbol of stability and emotional connection during a difficult period. Savannah later described how deeply she relied on her mother’s presence there.
Nancy was last seen at approximately 9:45 p.m. on January 30, 2026. Authorities confirmed that she did not leave voluntarily and declared the property an active crime scene. Investigators asked for community assistance as they worked to uncover what happened.
